Founded by Ayana Abdul-Raheem with a mission to support system-impacted girls in recognizing their worth and prioritizing their health, we now focus on empowering all individuals to embrace their worthiness and well-being. Our proceeds benefit wellness initiatives for girls, funding paid internships that foster their development and leadership.
From Law Enforcement To Community Empowerment
After serving 11 years with the police department in the juvenile unit, Ayana Abdul-Raheem founded bornWORTHY.with a passionate vision to support system-impacted girls in recognizing their inherent worth and prioritizing their well-being. Understanding the challenges these girls face, Ayana started mentoring them and selling born WORTHY. T-shirts to fund wellness programs specifically designed to meet their needs. Her efforts have since blossomed into a larger mission: empowering everyone to embrace their well-being while still focusing on the original goal of uplifting system-impacted girls.
bornWORTHY. now operates on a broader scale, dedicating a portion of its proceeds to wellness internships for girls. These internships not only provide crucial support and mentorship but also enable young women to become leaders in their communities by teaching wellness workshops and advocating for systemic change. Through this initiative, Ayana ensures that the core mission of bornWORTHY. remains intact: fostering a community where every individual recognizes their worth and is empowered to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
